OLOID, a Sunnyvale-based technology company that provides identity and access management solutions to the modern workplace, announced today that it has completed its System and Organization Controls (SOC2) Type II certification. This certification, which is in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards for SOC for Service Organizations, validates OLOID’s adherence to the highest industry standards for data security.

"OLOID has always conformed to stringent standards for data security and has been compliant with international data privacy regulations. We take our responsibility to protect client data very seriously and this certification is a reflection of our dedication to meeting the highest standards in data security," said Madhu Madhusudhanan, Co-Founder and CTO of OLOID.

SOC2 Type II is a widely recognized and respected certification for companies that handle sensitive data. This certification requires companies to undergo a thorough examination of their controls and processes related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. A SOC 2 assessment report provides detailed information and assurance about an organization’s security, confidentiality, availability, processing integrity, and/or privacy controls, based on their assurance of compliance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Trust Services Principles and Criteria for Security. A SOC 2 report is often the primary document that the security departments of our customers will rely on to assess OLOID's ability to maintain adequate security, and reviewing such documents is itself often required by SOC 2 controls.

“Securing SOC2 Type II certification is an important milestone in our mission to build a unified identity framework that prioritizes data security. We underwent rigorous processes and demonstrated adherence to data security, availability, and confidentiality standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)”, said Shankar Agarwal, OLOID’s Co-founder and Head of Engineering.
